Our Beautiful House

 It has been so much fun to see our new house come together before our eyes! This picture above is what it looks like now, as of July 5th. We have gone over almost every day to see what all they have done and it is always so exciting to see something new.  I love this picture below of Jonah's little footprint...the first of many little footprints to leave an impression in our new home. I was sad leaving our old house, thinking that the "baby" stage was over and we wouldn't have that in our new house. But this picture is a great reminder to me that our kids are still little and many wonderful years are yet to come!

It is really amazing how quickly they are completing our house...they gave us an estimated completion date of July 31st the other day...WOAH! They originally said it could be 120 days from breaking ground, which would have been around August 25th. So, believe it or not, they are ahead of schedule. PRAISE GOD!!! We will be in Myrtle Beach the last week of July, so we are looking at closing the first week of August. We can't wait!!!

Here are some pictures that we took of the house from the beginning of June through the beginning of July.

June 4th:

They delivered the brick and sheetrock, and put the trim up outside.

June 11th:
It's fun to take people to see our new house! Grandma & Grandpa came to see it today!

At first it was exciting for the girls to see the new house...now it is boring and most of the time they just want to sit in the van and watch their movie while we go in! They did think it was fun to climb up on the mountains of sheetrock!

June 19th:

I was nervous about the brick, (see separate post!) but I love it!

June 23rd:

Our wood tile flooring is in! LOVE it! And, as an added bonus, they tiled the entire hallway and little area by our bedroom. We opted not to do that because it was an $1100 upgrade. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw that they slipped up!

June 26th:

Our cabinetry went in this week! The legs on the island are different from what we ordered, but I like them even better, so we're keeping them. I met with our building supervisor and figured out exactly where we wanted the island to go today. I can't wait to bake cookies in my new kitchen!

We have garage doors!

It was fun to have visitors at our new house! After the VBS fun night, the Easterwood's came over to see our house.

June 28th:

Jonah was checking out his new room!

July 1:

They finally finished all of our brick and the arch above our front porch!

July 2:

The painters were here yesterday and today! It was almost dark before we got over to see the paint, but from what we could see it looks really good!

We are SO pleased with the exterior paint colors! That was another one of the decisions that I was hoping I would be happy with...and I am! It is really starting to feel like ours now!
