Staying with the Easterwood's

We stayed with our friends, the Easterwood's for a few days at the beginning of July and then they let us "house sit" for them the second week of July while they were on vacation. God has blessed us with the best friends, who have literally welcomed us into their homes to "live with them" while we are "homeless" this summer! =0) Of course the girls were beyond thrilled about these arrangements and we had a very fun time! One evening we went to the Pierce's for dinner and swimming and then the next night the girls served us dinner in their "restaurant!" The only downer was that I had a cold and didn't feel great. After a few days, we headed to Lake Eufaula for the 4th of July and then came back on Saturday, the 5th and stayed at their house that whole next week. I have done surprisingly well without a home of our own this summer, but at this point I was growing weary of it. This was the first week we spent as a family in a house by ourselves since we moved out of our house in May, so it was a welcome break for us! We kind of just pretended like it was ours! =0)
Thank you, Connie & Brian (if you are reading this) for sharing your home with us! We love your family so much!
Katelyn & Madison are two peas in a pod!
Poor Mackenzie got water in her ears from all of the swimming we had been doing and she didn't feel well at all. A few days after this we found out that she had ear infections in both ears. I try to always keep ear plugs in, but they popped out a few times during swim lessons. Kinley was being such a good friend and trying to make her feel better as we read books at bedtime!
Jonah loves hanging out with the Easterwood's! I think he would live there if we let him!
One of their favorite things to do is play Just Dance on the Wii!
So sweet! They had a little "tea party" lunch after swim lessons one day.
Like Four Birdies in a nest,
Four friends are the very best!
Katelyn made these cute and very detailed menu's for our dinner!
After dinner entertainment! We actually all had to dance!
Here are some pic's I took during the week we stayed at the Easterwood's while they were in Colorado. I only set off their house alarm once, which I felt terrible about! We slept in the guest room upstairs and the girls slept on the couch in the game room.
We rented a few games to play on the Wii for the week.
This was a very relaxing week. After the busyness of June, this was really our first week to not be going and doing something every single day. Jonah enjoyed playing in the backyard in the mornings before it got too hot.
In a house full of girl toys, Jonah found the manliest boy toy he could find...Cristoff from Frozen!
