I Can Finally "Let It Go!"

Well, after trying for over 4 months, I finally got an Elsa dress for Madison! This was all she wanted for her 5th birthday, back in March...I promised I would get it as soon as I could, and 2 1/2 months later, I finally delivered! Disney totally underestimated the popularity of this dress, and has had a hard time with production. The only way to get the dress has been on Ebay for anywhere from $300-$1000. C-R-A-Z-Y!!! I heard that the Disney Store was doing a drawing on Saturday morning for the Elsa dresses. I took the kids to a birthday party at BounceU and Brian stayed with them while I headed to the mall. I know this may sound silly, but I was so worked up and nervous over this dress...as parents, we want to make our children happy and I knew how badly Madison was wanting it. And, it had become my mission, and I just had to prevail! I literally prayed as I dropped my name in the 7/8 bag, "God PLEASE let me get a dress!" When it came time for the drawing, they pulled out a rack of Elsa dresses and I literally wanted to just reach out and touch one. I have looked nearly every single day for months to try to get one and there they were, right in front of me...but not available for me unless they called my number. There were only 3 of the size I needed and at least 11 people wanting them. They went in order by size, starting with the 4's, then 5/6 and then 7/8's...they called a number that wasn't mine and then they called #5! That was me!!! I have to admit...I did a little hop and said "YEA!!!!" all with tears in my eyes! I could finally give my sweet girl her birthday present! It felt like an eternity while I stood in line and waited for them to hand me the dress so I could pay for it, all the while so excited that I was very emotional. I did feel so sad for those who didn't get a dress...there were a few very upset people. Some had brought their little girls into the store, which I didn't think was a good idea at all. Their little eyes were wide and sparkling with excitement while waiting to see if they would get a dress, and then their hopes were dashed when they didn't get one. That was the exact reason my girls didn't even know I was going.

I drove straight to Wal-Mart and bought a Frozen balloon, gift sack and tissue paper. Then I went back to the Steen's house, where we are staying this summer, and surprised Madison with her late birthday present! This smile says it all...now the fighting can begin over who gets to be Elsa, and I can finally "Let It Go!"

Mackenzie wasn't about to be left out of the fun, even if she did have to "just be Anna." I may have to make a chart alternating who gets to be Elsa every other day of the week! We went into the backyard and took some fun pic's!

I think they could have a future as Cast Members at Disney World...only problem is that's in Florida...that means I would have to go be a Cast Member too...I'll be so old at that point, maybe I could be the Fairy Godmother or Cinderella's step-mother!

It really is the most beautiful dress!
