On Friday, we had 6 of Jonah's friends over for a birthday bike-riding sleepover! Looking back, I'm not sure how we made it through this. This was just one week after Brian lost his job and we were pretty much walking zombies. But, we had promised this party to Jonah and we had to deliver! This was a good distraction I guess, and this is a great group of boys, so it was pretty easy. The boys played video games for a while and ate pizza, and then we took them over to Arcadia to do a bike ride. They had a great time--until they got into sand fleas--eek! That put an end to everything, and the bike ride came to a much quicker end than expected. Then we went back to the house for more video games, cake and ice cream, and a movie. The joy for me, was that since it was a boy sleepover, I got to go to bed and leave Brian up with them! =0) I think they were all asleep before 1:00 AM, even though they had been saying all day that they were going to pull an all-nighter! The next morning, they hopped back on their bikes and rode through the neighborhood to have breakfast at Braums, before the boys went home. I think the lesson we learned was that it is better to stick with paved roads, instead of dirt trails, with this many 11 and 12 year old boys. Lol!

Brian managed to fit all of their bikes in his car! Impressive...
All of the boys were so happy to see Noah! He didn't come back to CHA this year and they all miss him.

I mean, totally normal to be singing about pronouns at a 12th birthday party, right?! I can't wait to show them this when they're Seniors!
