This is my GG and Poppa Beets' house in Tulsa. I have so many memories of visiting them here up until they moved to Anadarko when I was 12. Going to the splash pad and playgrounds by their house, riding in the back of Poppa's truck to go feed the horses out on their land, getting ice cream at Braums, sitting outside in the evenings and finding locust shells, GG's chicken & dumplin's and fried pork chops, going to the library by their house, frequent trips to the Goodwill store, watching soap operas with my GG, going to garage sales, Poppa Beets saying it was "time to hit the hay" when he was ready for bed, visiting with their neighbors, pitchers of ice water always ready to go in the fridge, playing endless games of Monopoly Jr...I could go on and on...so many of my childhood memories happened right here in this little white house.
We had a little time to kill during our weekend in Tulsa, and the church Brian was at for GoStudents was not very far from this house. It is always a little bittersweet to go back to the places like this, that will always hold a special place in my heart.
