Our second Grand Canyon day started out with the kids and I sleeping in, while Brian went and did a 10 mile hike down into the Grand Canyon and back. We all enjoyed our morning this way! =0) Brian was planning to be back by noon to get us, because that's when we had to check out, but the hike back up the Grand Canyon was way harder than he thought it would be. He texted me that it was harder than the marathon he did last year...wow! I requested a later checkout, and they let us stay in the room until 1:00, but then the kids and I had to move ALL of our stuff (which was a lot) out into the hall to wait for him to get back. I was so happy. =0/ Okay maybe not. We passed the time with frog races and crab walk races in the hallway. Might as well make lemonade out of lemons, right? When he finally got back, we went to Pizza Hut for lunch and then headed back to the Grand Canyon to get the kids' Jr. Park Ranger badges. Then we loaded back up and hit the road for Brian Head, Utah. It was a looonngg drive and we got there around midnight. The last hour or so was driving through snow and was a little scary. We were all really happy to make it to our resort in Brian Head!

We spent our morning relaxing, working on Junior Ranger books & drawing pictures.

Madison picked this black bear backpack.
And Mackenzie got a pretty necklace! Thankful for G-Ma and Poppa & Louise, who sent souvenir money for them to spend.
