Around 11:30 Saturday night, we had to wake the kids up and put them in my closet when the tornado sirens started going off. It was pouring and the wind was blowing so hard, it was scary! The EF-2 tornado was approx a mile from our house. Mackenzie, who is terrified of storms, was shaking and saying she felt sick. Poor girl! Madison and Jonah pretty much slept through the whole thing! Once things settled down, we put the kids on pallets in our room for the rest of the night. We lost electricity and it didn't come on until 7:30 the next morning. (That made things interesting getting ready for church half in the dark!) Praising God for his protection & thinking maybe we should look into a storm shelter!
Madison is under there somewhere!
