Ford's Theatre

After our morning at Iwo Jim & Arlington, a big group of us took the Metro to Ford's Theatre. I was really excited to take Jonah there to see where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. One of my favorite memories from all of Jonah's elementary years was when he was Abraham Lincoln for the 3rd grade Presidential Tea. We went to Ford's Theatre on Mackenzie's 6th grade trip, but it was a very rushed visit. We had more time to look around this time, and we even got to go through the house across the street, where President Lincoln died. Everyone kind of split up after Ford's Theatre, to squeeze in any last minute things they hadn't seen yet. We were pretty wiped out and had crossed pretty much everything off our list, so we just went back to the hotel to rest for a few hours before dinner.
Everything's more fun when you're with friends!
I risked my life to take this picture, lol!
All of these books are about Abraham Lincoln...amazing!
