Westminster Abbey is the most beautiful building I've ever been in, in my life. This is one of my favorite things we saw on our trip! What made it even more special, was that the coronation chairs were still in place. Queen Elizabeth & Prince Phillip, and Prince William & Kate Middleton were married in Westminster Abbey, and Princess Diana's funeral was there as well. Queen Elizabeth I is buried there, and her monument is so grand and elaborate, compared to Queen Elizabeth II's newer memorial that we saw at St. George's. The architecture and stained glass in Westminster Abbey are just incredible! It was kind of a surreal experience to stand in this place, where such monumental events in England's history, have occurred.
