The next stop on our tour was the town of Bampton, in Oxfordshire, where the Downton village scenes were filmed, for the most part. I think my favorite thing we saw there was the church, where so many scenes...weddings, funerals, etc., were filmed, and also Mrs. Crawley's house.
Our tour was running a bit behind, so we didn't have all that much time in Bampton. I would say 30-45 minutes, tops, which I was a little sad about. There was so much to see!
There was a little gift shop, where I bought a small Downton filming locations book, and took this fun picture with Robert! Just look how happy he was to see me!

Apparently, there are a lot of these "village libraries" in red telephone booths...so cool!
