Route 66 Christmas Chute

We went to Tulsa on the Wednesday before Christmas to deliver cookies and spend time with the Easterwoods. Our plan was to spend the night with them, and then drive home the next morning but a freeze was coming in so we decided to drive home late that night. We spent a few hours just hanging out at the house and exchanging gifts and then the girls went out to get dinner at Tulsa Hills...its still so weird to me that they are old enough to do this by themselves! Connie and I stuck with tradition and ordered Mazzios. =0) Finally, around 8:30 or so, we loaded up and went to Sapulpa to this years new Route 66 Christmas Chute to look at Christmas lights. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it! It was so fun to walk around with our friends and take pictures! It was beautiful! Next year, I would definitely want to go earlier when more things were open so we could eat and shop. We eventually made it back to their house and it took forever to say goodbye and get the girls loaded up to head home. We were very sad that we didn't get to spend the night, but I'm so glad we went ahead and drove home. We made it home around 12:30 AM. When we woke up in the morning, there was a lot of snow and very slick roads and there is no way we would have made it home from Tulsa. I think the turnpike was even closed down for a while. I still had cookies to decorate and we were going to GMa's house for Christmas later that day, so it really wouldn't have been good for us to be stuck in Tulsa. Any other time, we wouldn't have minded! =0) We sure love our friends though & this was a very sweet way to kick off our Christmas festivities! Here are allllllll the cute pics! Balderwoods forever!
Precious Kelsey!
I MISS Connie SO SO much in my everyday life.
I don't even know how to explain what was happening here, except to say to watch the videos! They were hilarious! I don't know where they come up with this stuff!
Meanwhile, back home...Brian sent me these videos of him & Jack playing songs on the guitar. So cute!
