Jonah was honored to play the part of Joseph in the CHA Christmas program last night. I will never forget the day he came home from school and told me he was Joseph! He was SO excited! His teacher has now given him the nickname "Jonaseph" and he thinks that's the best! The 4th graders do the play part of the Christmas program every year and all of them are required to have a speaking part. Jonah only had one or two short lines, but the hard part of his role was having to sit incredibly still on his knees at the manger for a very long time. I'm talking like over 15 minutes! Thankfully he had knee pads on, which helped a little. He took his role very seriously & never took his eyes off baby Jesus and never even flinched! I love this CHA tradition of the 4th graders leading in worship through the nativity every year. Bonus for us was that both girls were also in the choir!
Jonah has now played the part of Joseph & baby Jesus...very special times!
Happy Birthday, Jesus,
Jesus, I love you!
The last time Jonah was in the nativity, he was laying in the manger!
Mary & Joseph
Of course Braums afterwards!
I LOVE the way they enter for this program! I especially loved that Jonah was in the front!
Happy Birthday Jesus, makes me cry every time!
So fun that the girls got to sing in the program too!
Jonah had just a few lines, and he did perfect!
Manger Scene ONE
Manger Scene TWO
Manger Scene 3 O' Holy Night
The program ended with the choir singing Carol of the Bells. It sounded even better than the other night at the choir concert, if that's even possible! Loved it!
