The GoStudents group was going to a Yankees game on their fun day, so we got to go with them! I've always wanted to do this, so I was very excited about it. Mackenzie was also very excited, because this is another place that is in her Percy Jackson books. Buying a Yankees hat was her #1 priority! Our seats were at the very top of the stadium, but that's okay--we could see everything from up there! =0) The best part of the night, for sure, was FaceTiming with Poppa Jim during the 7th inning stretch for Take Me Out to the Ballgame and the National Anthem. He is a lifelong Yankees fan, so it was very special to share that with him! Madi and I walked around forever trying to find me a Yankees shirt, and we finally found one. We were exhausted and knew it was going to be crazy getting out of there when the game ended, so we went ahead and left at the end of the 7th inning. It was about a 45 minute subway ride to get back to our hotel in Times Square. Fun, fun times!
