"Let's Say Prayers"

Family prayer time is one of my favorite times of the day! A friend recently made a comment to me about the way our kids love each other. And she's right--they really do! As a mom, one of the deepest desires of my heart is that my kids will love and invest in each other, long after they are grown. I remind them often that they are each other's built-in best friends for life! My heart can't even handle that one day, they will grow up and won't all be in my next...like, I could cry on a dime about it...so for now, I will just soak up the sweetness of moments like this. We are blessed beyond measure.

Also--we don't make it a normal practice to kneel around the ottoman like this, but lately its just happened that way. When Jack hears us say "okay let's say prayers," he takes off for the ottoman and resumes this position, so we just gather around. It is the funniest, sweetest thing! He only stays that way for about 3 seconds, and runs around distracting everyone during the actual prayer, but when it's time to say Amen, he is ready with his "AMEN!"

Our family is not perfect...we get a lot of things wrong...but one thing that we definitely want to teach our kids is the power of prayer.
Best ever!
