Be Strong & Courageous!

I remember the days leading up to the beginning of Middle School very vividly...I was a nervous wreck. The thought of having to switch classes with only 5 minutes in between, having to use the bathroom in that amount of time, learning to open a combination lock, having so many different teachers & just learning a very new way of doing things, was extremely overwhelming to me.
So when we left the school after Welcome Back BluCru and Mackenzie was in tears, my heart hurt for her. We went back to the school on Wednesday morning, the day before school started, and finished setting up Mackenzie's locker. It was much easier and calmer without a locker bay full of rowdy teenagers! We walked back through the halls and found her classrooms and she practiced opening her lock. We left feeling much more confident and happy about the first day of school!
And how CUTE is her locker?! Every locker needs twinkling lights, right?! We spent a small fortune buying locker supplies!
When we were trying to decide what to put on her message board, we had the idea to use Joshua 1:9, one of Mackenzie's favorite verses. I love it so much...because it is so true!
Be Strong & Courageous in 7th grade, Mackenzie...because God will be with you wherever you go! You're going to rock this!
My instagram comment on this was:

And Brian's comment was "Without lockers, there would be no Brian and Candace Baldwin. #checkyesorno "
