This was too funny not to share! Madison and I went to Wal-Mart one day while Mackenzie was at school. Madison got two small cookies from the Bakery and said, "Momma I'm going to save one for Mackenzie!" She has the kindest heart and is always eager to share. So she quickly ate her cookie, and then as we were shopping and she was holding the extra one she starting saying, "I just want to eat it SO bad!" I told her it was okay, that she didn't have to save it, but she REALLY wanted her sister to have it. After a few minutes, she said, "Maybe I'll just eat a little of it." So as I finished shopping, she nibbled on the cookie, but definitely didn't want to eat it all so that Mackenzie could still have some. Well, by the time we made it back to the van, this is what was left...a tiny little piece! I LOVE that she didn't eat it, but instead saved it for her sister...even if it was just a bite! After all, sometimes it's just hard not to eat a cookie if it's in your hand. Just the fact that she left any at all showed her love for her sister and her willingness to share! It's definitely what's in the heart that counts!
By the way, I had to prep Mackenzie before I let Madison give her the bite...She very graciously said, "Thank you, Madi!" instead of "WHAT?! Where's the rest?!" =0)
