Mackenzie had her first field trip with Regent, to the Philbrook Museum of Art. We originally thought she was going to miss it, due to our trip to St. Louis/Indianapolis, but the snowy weather changed our plans, so she got to go. I love it that Regent is so focused on Art. The kids learned about "serpentine" shapes and paintings of John the Baptist, among many other things at the museum. This was a very educational, fun field trip. Daddy watched Jonah and Madison at the church so that I could meet Mack's class there. Afterwards, we loaded up and drove all the way to Indianapolis.
The kids were very attentive and listened to this lady tell them about the artwork. At the end, they got to do a little scavenger hunt to search for things they had seen. They loved that!

The Philbrook used to be a single family home...unbelievable! It is huge and very fancy! This was a light-up dance floor. Of course Mackenzie was all about that.
