Did I mention that we stayed in Grandma & Grandpa's trailer in Branson?! It was nice and cozy with 4 adults, 3 kids & a dog! =0) Oh, and 45 stuffed animals! LOL! We made it work though, and I even survived walking in the freezing cold to the showers each morning.
It rained most of the day Friday, so we slept in and spent most of the day relaxing at the trailer. It was a little weird for me to not be going shopping on "Black Friday," but we did get out that evening and do a little shopping with Grandma Baldwin.
On Thanksgiving night, we went to Silver Dollar City for "An Old Time Christmas." It was COLD but we bundled up real good and had a blast! We got 2 day tickets, so we would have plenty of time at SDC. The lights at Silver Dollar City are amazing...there are over 6.5 million of them! Wow!! We rode lots of rides, ate yummy food, took lots of pictures (of course) and even saw Rudolph, Clarice and Santa Claus!
I'm so glad we were able to make these memories and have this time with Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin. Little did we know, life would take a big hit and everything would change for our family just a few weeks after this. =0( Gotta hold onto the good times...
The look on Santa's face when our kids told him they wanted a Cat, a Dog and a Guinea Pig... #santawontbedeliveringthisyear

Grandma Baldwin took one for the team & rode the fast spinning pirate ships with the girls!
The parade at Silver Dollar City is not exactly like the parades at Disney World! Ha!
We made a last minute decision to go to the Dixie Stampede on Thanksgiving. The only available show they had was the early one that started at like 10:30, but that was okay! It actually worked out great, because it gave us a chance to go back to the trailer and rest before going to Silver Dollar City that evening.
I'm SO glad we did this. I think its something we will always remember doing on Thanksgiving! The food was delicious and the show was a lot of fun. Oh, and I got my very own PITCHER of Diet Coke! Haha! There was even a horse named Jonah, which the kids thought was pretty special! The kids especially enjoyed the little pig races!
I did miss being with all of our family and having a "traditional" Thanksgiving, but this was something fun for a change. And we still got to be with all of our family over the following two weekends!
Happy Thanksgiving!
We got there early to see the horses & watch the pre-show. It was CHILLY!!
