Halloween Mail

The girls were so excited to get a Halloween package from G-Ma! She sent them new coloring books, stickers & glow-sticks. (They are more than a little spoiled by their G-Ma!) By the way, this was a "pajamas all day" kind of day!

They also got Halloween cards from Poppa Jim & they thought they were just so funny! I video'd them opening their cards & sent it to Poppa Jim so he could see just how much they loved their cards. There's just something so fun about getting mail! Madison was still trying to wake up from her nap!

They kind of "helped" decorate the insides of their cards from Poppa Jim. "Big Eyes!"They thought the faces Poppa drew on Mickey's ears were so funny!

I just added this picture for fun...this was one weekend during October when G-Ma was visiting.

ELP Costume Parade

The Costume Parade at ELP was this past Thursday. Madison's class didn't do the parade, so she got to wear her favorite hat to school. She picked the Jessie hat! This was a fun morning, but CRAZY for me. Brian had to have a colonoscopy (Yuck!) done that morning, so Lyn spent the night with us to stay with the girls. We had to be at the hospital at 6:30, and the procedure was at 7:30. Lyn loaded the girls up & met me at the hospital & switched places with me...she stayed with Brian and I took the girls to school. Did I mention that I backed into a car (illegally parked) on my way out of the parking lot? STRESSFUL! Thankfully, everything was okay & we made it to the church & got the girls into their costumes on time. It is always fun to see all of the costumes! All of the girls in Mackenzie's class were so cute! She had a blast! I was a little sad, thinking about the fact that this is her last ELP costume parade. Next year it will be Madison's turn! Oh, and I have to say that Ms. Anne & Ms. Janice get the award for "Most Creative" costume, with their hot air balloon! As soon as the parade was over, I headed home to decorate 18 dozen cookies...it was a LOOOONG day.

Yes, we had to rush to get there on time, but we still had time for a quick pic!Just like last year, she waved the entire time!I took Brian's iPhone so I could video the parade for him. He was sad to miss it.

Happiness

These are just some cute pic's & a video from the last week or two. When I look at them, they make me happy...thus, the title of "Happiness."

The girls were watching a movie morning, and I looked in on them and found them laying like this. I love it that they love each other! Don't get me wrong...they fight like crazy, but they are good friends too. I was opening a can of Spaghetti-O's for Mackenzie one night, and I accidentally flung them all over her head...it was a huge mess, but we got a good laugh out of it! Thankfully she thought it was funny, instead of bursting into tears. She is pretty dramatic, so it could have gone either way. Her hair got a good scrubbing that night! Madison's new favorite doll...of course it would be one with a ton of hair! She LOVES hair! This is one of Mackenzie's dolls, and thankfully, she isn't too attached to it, because Madison has pretty much claimed it for her own. When I took the above picture of Madison, Mackenzie came running over with this pumpkin and said, "Mommy, take my picture too!" LOL! So of course, I did! Madison still makes a sucking noise the second she gets ahold of her pony's hair, or now, this doll's hair. This picture is funny because I can tell that she is mid-suck. She doesn't suck her thumb or a pacifier, just air I guess. I wonder how I am ever going to break her of that! One day during Fall Break, we ran into Libby & Brandi at Target. The girls all sat down on the curb together while we were talking & it was so cute.We went to a church service in North Tulsa last Sunday night & the girls and I rode in the bus that Brian drove. This is a video Kari recorded of Madison (and Mackenzie) singing on the way home. Unbelievably sweet! Madison may be hard for us to understand sometimes, but I am quite certain that when she sings about Jesus, He understands every word!

I really don't know what to write about these pictures, except that the girls just looked so cute that I had to take their picture. Check out Mackenzie's leg pose! This child's mouth is ALWAYS dirty! I guess that's because she is ALWAYS eating!Not sure what this looks about!What a wonderful way to start the day! My two little chickadee's all bundled up, without a care in the world. If only life could stay that wonderful & simple all of the time!

The Pumpkin Patch with G-Ma

We spent Fall Break in Newcastle with G-Ma. We had a great time playing, relaxing, and also getting some things done around her house. G-Ma took us to the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday before we went home. It was a lot of fun! There aren't many places to take cuter pictures than at the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day too, so it was perfect!
Madison's smile cracks me up! She was really hammin' it up!Mackenzie ran over and said, "Look Mommy, this is a great place for a picture!" Ha,ha! Who's child is that?! A girl after my own heart. The baby cow was so cute! Mack loved it but Madison wasn't too sure... Notice...Mackenzie is feeding it out of her hand....Madison is not!She REALLY wanted that pumpkin! She got it, but it didn't last long! That thing is bigger than she is!Going on a hayride. Cute Little Pumpkins!Madison wanted us to pull her around like Queen Sheeba...it was too funny! I'll say one thing...this wagon was HEAVY with all those pumpkins & Madison in it.G-Ma and Mack going through the corn maze. (I was pulling the Princess in the wagon, so we didn't move quite as fast.)Mackenzie is right at 41" tall.Madison is about 34" tall.G-Ma let the girls pick out a few gourds (Mackenzie was adamant that they were pumpkins & squash.) She wanted to name them Curly, Pumpky, and Gold. Well, okay then! This is what Madison picked. Thanks, G-Ma for taking us to the Pumpkin Patch!
