This was our second Glory Day at OCS...Glory Day is basically a track and field day, which is not exactly our favorite kind of thing. Last year after Glory Day, Mackenzie basically begged me to never make her do that again. There were many tears from her, and I was really apprehensive and anxious about how it would go this year. We talked a lot about how its okay to not be a fast runner, but just run hard and do your best, and that's good enough...even if you are in last place...just don't quit. You can imagine my complete shock when Mackenzie came home and announced that she had voluntarily signed up to run in a relay race with some of her friends. Her team didn't win, but I was VERY proud of her for doing this! Madison ran a few races too, and did great. Mostly she just had fun with Adlee in between the races! Pre-K didn't get to participate in Glory Day, but they did get to have Sno-Cones! =0)
Jonah & his buddy Colton!
After Jonah got out of school at 11:00, he got to hang out with me and "watch" the girls race.
(or place in the dirt!)
Mackenzie signed up to do the 4x200 relay race, which completely shocked me! She was sad about slowing her team down, but I was SO proud of her for doing this!
Oh how these girls love each other!!
