The 5th grade led Chapel at school today, and Mackenzie got to sing the solo part again, of "This is Me" that she did for 5th grade graduation last week. I sat there choking back tears, because just the day before, some girls were calling her mean names and not being very nice to her. And here are the words to her part...
"When the sharpest words wanna cut me down,
I'm gonna send a flood, I'm gonna drown them out,
I am brave, I'm set free,
I'm who God made me to be,
This is me!"
Mackenzie is a beautiful, precious girl! We are praying fervently that she will find friends who value and love her for exactly who she is at CHA next year! We love her so much & look forward to all the future holds for her!
