Jonah Fall School Stuff

Jonah loves Pre-K and is doing great so far! We have a long way to go with learning his letters and sounds, but I'm excited to see how far he has come at the end of the year. I am really learning how different boys and girls are developmentally. Jonah is just now starting to show a little interest in drawing and coloring, and other than writing his name, he doesn't write any words. The girls were both very much able to do these things at 5 years old, but everyone keeps assuring me that he is OKAY, and in due time, he will get there! We are very proud of Jonah and love watching him learn and grow!
One thing we laugh about is how he draws stick people...they always have straight lines for their mouths, which if you ask Jonah, are their "smiles!" We jokingly say that if a child psychologist were to analyze his drawings, they might think he had an unhappy childhood! Ha! When I ask him about the people he draws, for instance..."Are they happy?", he enthusiastically responds "Yes!" So I don't worry about it! =0)
One day they all made drawings that Mrs. Coil mailed to them. It took 3 or 4 days for them to come in the mail & I bet Jonah asked 45 times when it was coming! He was EXCITED when he finally got it in the mail!
Jonah loves to hang his pictures on the fridge!
Here we are "celebrating" Charlie's birthday! Oh man, this one made me laugh! We really do smile around our house!
Mrs. Coil and Mrs. Morrison are so good to take pictures during class and upload them to our class share site on Shutterfly. It's so fun to see what they do during school! Here they are learning about pumpkins.
Who doesn't love getting mail?! Well....unless its a bill!
They rotate to "centers" around the room each day. Here they are at the reading center with Mrs. Coil. I happened to be at the school on this day and got to watch Jonah "read" for a few minutes.
