During the month of November, Jonah's class was learning about different occupations. They got to visit an orthodontist office, a banker came to teach them about banking, and Mrs. Coil asked if I would come and teach them about baking cookies! You wouldn't think that 15 four and five year olds would make me nervous, but let me just say...I was nervous!! LOL! I had so much fun doing this though...I took some of my supplies to show them what all you need to make cookies, and then I let them ask some questions. They were adorable! I found these (very cheap) cute little aprons at Dollar Tree for each of the kids. After showing them how to use the icing bags, they each got to decorate their own cookie! There was icing everywhere & I'm sure their moms appreciated how sugared up they were right before lunch when they got picked up. I don't always think of myself as having the profession of a Baker, but I guess that's what I am! And I am so thankful for it! My little cookie business has been very helpful for our family, especially when it comes to extra things we might need or want, and for making vacations possible.
I could tell Jonah thought it was very fun that I was teaching his class about decorating cookies! I know this is something I will always remember doing with his PreK class.
Jonah is my little "In Case" cookie tester! He's always asking me for an "in case" cookie when I'm decorating cookies!
I made each of the kids a turkey cookie & attached a mini Christmas cookie cutter to it!
