After spending a few days setting up at Falls Creek, we got to spend most of Memorial weekend at home. The weekend started out with me going with Mom and Poppa to put flowers out at the cemetery's in Gracemont, Anadarko & Newcastle on Saturday. It's not exactly a fun thing to do, but it is very important to my family, so I'm happy to do it. It's good to take some time to honor and remember the people that I love so much that aren't here anymore.
On Sunday afternoon we went to see a movie (I'm so far behind on blogging that I don't remember which one now) and on Monday we decided to take the kids to the zoo. It was SO. SO. HOT. But we still had a great time! The highlight was the elephant show. Poppa called and invited us over to their house for a cookout that afternoon, so we did that after the zoo. It was great to just have some time to be together and do what we wanted to, before camp started!
None of these movies are what we saw...haha!
Headed to the zoo...
Not happy, because it was hot...whose kid is this?!
hahahahaha!!! Poor sweet girl, I felt your pain!!!
hahahahahaha!! Yep, they are both mine! #dontdoheat
Jonah wasn't phased by the heat though...maybe its a girl thing?
Madison found a roly poly and named it (something) and carried it around all day. To the point that it stopped moving and I had to convince her to let it go so she wouldn't figure out it was dead. Eek! It was almost a traumatic experience.
Mack got to be a volunteer for the elephant show.
They managed to convince us to go into a gift shop (OF COURSE) and came out with these things...
In between the zoo and going to Poppa & Louise's, we met Grandma Baldwin at Kohl's to buy some clothes for summer. She totally hooked us up with clothes for the kids! So thankful for that! Jonah also found this Paw Patrol thing that he NEEDS for his birthday.
He's ready to go now!
Loving on Chloe at Poppa & Louise's!
Playing in a tent in the backyard!
