Children's Museum of Memphis

We spent Tuesday morning at the Children's Museum of Memphis before meeting up with the teenagers later on that afternoon. I love watching my kids play and learn at the same time! One of the funniest memories from our time there was Jonah shopping in the grocery store...he was completely out of control! At one point, he and Madison kind of got into a stand off. It was hysterical! Another very memorable, scary moment was when Jonah disappeared...I was ordering lunch and Brian was with the girls...I looked down and Jonah was gone. I instantly started running through the children's museum and found him a few rooms over in a real life car, just sitting in the drivers seat as if nothing was wrong at all. Can you say PANIC?! That happened in literally 10 seconds of me not having my eyes on him. He is HIGH MAINTENANCE these days!
They had a huge Fed Ex plane to play in that was so cool.
Jonah loved playing in the water!
The grocery store part of every Children's Museum is always a favorite. It is somewhat fascinating to me that the kids think it is such a fun thing to do...somewhere along the way, later in life when they have to do it for real, it loses the fun factor!
I told Mackenzie to pick out things she would need to make dinner for us. She chose spaghetti and ice cream for dessert.
There were signs everywhere that said "Limit 5 items" ... Oops! (Everyone had more than that!)
I think this is where the battle between Madison and Jonah happens.
A basket full of fruit snacks...that's Jonah's kind of shopping right there!
They had a real police motorcycle, police car and fire truck for the kids to play on.
This was cute...Mackenzie and Daddy were sending messages back and forth through a bank teller system.
We sat in the drawing room for quite a while and drew pictures of our new house.

(I might have gotten a little carried away daydreaming about our house that isn't finished yet!)
This was taken right after "Captain Adorable" ran away and got himself lost. He wasn't at all bothered by it, but it gave me a good scare.
"What's the big deal, mom? I'm a big boy now!"
Jonah loves to play with kitchen sets, which Brian says is a "man point deduction." =0)
Mackenzie wanted some change for something, so Brian told her what to ask for and sent her to the counter all by herself. I love that he took a video of it too! She is becoming so independent and capable of doing some very grown up things.
Serious photo bomb!
