We went to see Inside Out 2 and one of the girls had the fun idea that we should all dress as an emotion. We threw this together literally 20 minutes before we walked out the door, and it was so fun. Not sure why I had to be anxiety....but whatever! Lol!
I love my kids & I love making fun memories like this with them. I'd say we all nailed our emotions!
I just wish Daddy would have been there to be Ennui!
We loved the movie!
Fear...because he likes purple! And he can be a little fearful at times...
Anger (can't imagine why we picked this one for Jack!)
We spent the last week of June at home, while Brian was on the GoStudents London project. For so many reasons, I am so glad that he got to do this trip. The kids and I had the best week at home, mostly just taking it easy. The girls had cheer practice a few days, Madi took a computer clep test (SHE PASSED!!), I took Jack to the Library play day, we got donuts, we went to the movies one day, we had water balloon fights in the backyard, and we went out to Leslie's to swim a few times. Other than that, we did a whole lot of nothing at home! I guess this is what a "normal" summer would be like?!
Here is Brian's FB post about London:
GoStudents London was awesome! Got to break away from Falls Creek last week to work with an amazing group of young people and some dedicated Workers who are trying to reach not only the 9 million people in the London area, but also people all over Europe with the Good News of Jesus! Thanks for holding things down at home Candace Baldwin!
Jack was very sad when we dropped Daddy off at the airport. It was the saddest thing...he cried and cried when we drove off. He loves his Daddy a whole bunch!
I don't know what I did, but my wrist really hurts...
On Sunday evening we went out to swim at Leslie's with GMa. She was gone last week to a school conference & she was leaving again Monday morning to go on vacation to Mount Rushmore, so this was our only time to see her this week.
This is quite a look!
Hahaha!
Tuesday morning Madi had a computer clep test at school, so I took Jack to the library while we waited for her to finish. They just happened to be having their outside messy day...yea!?! Needless to say, Jack had the best time! We were very unprepared though, and didn't have a towel or a change of clothes, so he had to ride home commando...hahaha! He didn't care!
I was very careful not to pinch him when I buckled him in! =0)))
Later that afternoon, Jack had a major meltdown in Hobby Lobby when I wouldn't let him have all of the things he wanted. So, sadly, we had to put everything back and leave with nothing.
Another day, another trip to the Library!
I texted Brian and told him I kept waiting for someone to come take our trash and bring clean towels, but they never came. =0) And I also had to figure out what to feed everyone all week. That is part of living at FC all summer that I am thankful for!
Jack was happy to keep Daddy's side of the bed warm while he was gone!
On Saturday, the 29th we went out to Leslie's to swim again. All of Rex's family was there on this day. Then we went back home to clean the house up real fast, before picking Daddy up at the airport that evening!
I LOVE these pics of Madi!
Jack was very unhappy because I made him wear a hat. When he makes his mind up about something, that's it. He pouted for a solid 15 minutes, before finally deciding he would swim with the hat on.
