We ditched out on the Friday afternoon breakout and drove to Muir Woods. It was around an hour and a half drive each way, and we had only about an hour to spend there, but it was worth it! The trees were massive and it was so beautiful. It felt like we were on the set of ET or Star Wars. Fun times with good friends! We grabbed In-n-Out on our way back and got there just in time for the evening session.
I didn't exactly wear the right shoes for walking a very long ways...by the time we were headed back to the car, I had to walk barefoot because my shoes hurt so bad.
On Wednesday morning, the guys got up early and went to do a survey thing with Dare2Share, so I got to sleep in!! Yea! They picked me up and we headed to the Golden Gate bridge. It was not quite as "exciting" as biking across, but we did drive across it and we also walked part of the way so we could take some good pictures. After that, we went to Oracle Park to watch a Giants baseball game. Brent and Jamie bought our tickets and we had the most amazing seats! Other than the completely drunk losers screaming obscenities in the row behind us, we had the best time. When the game was over, we walked (and walked and walked) to the trolley station so we could ride down to the wharf. You just can't visit San Fransisco without riding on a trolley! We ate dinner at a seafood place on the water at Pier 39 and then walked over to Ghirardelli square and had ice cream. It was another great day in SF and I was so glad Jamie felt better.
Sleeping in makes me happy!
Poppa & Louise stayed with Jack during the day while GMa was at school.
Whoever took these pictures of our friend Jamie did a great job!
Brent makes everything more fun!!
This stadium is right on the Bay.
The price of gas...wow!
We didn't really look around Chinatown, but we passed it along the way.
Clam chowder...not my favorite. Meaning I will never order this again. Ever.
Brian's salmon, on the other hand, looked so good!
A salted caramel brownie fudge sundae? YES!!
I don't remember what this building is, but it looks cool!
