Disney's California Adventure

We spent our 2nd day at Disney's California Adventure park & I didn't think it was possible, but I think we may have liked it even more than we did the original Disneyland park the day before! It was just so original and different from any other Disney park we have been to. The entire Radiator Springs experience was incredible & we took so many pictures there that I put them in a separate post. One of the first tips I give to people when they ask me about planning a Disney trip is to get to the parks early, right when they open. It just makes the entire day go smoother & sometimes you happen upon really neat things at the very beginning of the day. Right as we were walking into California Adventure, we saw Mickey, dressed in the most adorable costume, and we got to take pics with him without waiting in any line at all. It was awesome! Some of our favorite things at California Adventure were: meeting Captain Marvel and Captain America, Pixar Pier & all of the fun things there, churros-churros-andmorechurros, the Guardians of the Galaxy dance-off, Radiator Springs-of course, and ending the day with World of Color! Daddy and Madison rode the Incredicoaster twice & I think its now Madison's favorite Disney ride ever, even beating out Rock'nRollercoaster! I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves, but I think its easy to see that we had a blast! I will just say...World of Color is the best nighttime Disney show I have ever experienced. Amazing!!

Madison's dream come true!

I've often thought, I wonder what Walt would think if he could see what his dream of Disneyland/Disney World has become today. Wow! What an inspiration & imagination he had! His creativity and vision has provided so much joy and happiness!

It all started with a mouse!

This was the animation academy room where we waited in line to see Elsa and Anna. It was amazing!

This was as close as we got to the Guardians of the Galaxy (tower of terror) ride! It looked cool enough from the outside that we didn't even need to see the inside! Haha!

 

Of course Mackenzie wasn't too shy to get up there and dance!

The Animation Academy always seems like a fun idea, until the kids all pout and get upset because they don't like their drawings! Madison was excited that we got to draw Piglet & I thought they all did great! The teacher goes really fast & those instructions can be hard to follow.

I'm pretty sure Brian would load us right up in a car like this and travel the country if we would go for it! I'm thankful for our minivan!

We spent some time in Radiator Springs for dinner and then made our back to Pixar Pier for the rest of the evening. 

Madison talked Daddy into riding the Incredicoaster again...this time in the dark! I really think she would have ridden it 10 times in a row if we would let her!

While we were waiting for World of Color to start, I took the kids into gift shops to buy a few last minute souvenirs. Jonah really wanted a Mickey Mouse notebook & I'm pretty sure I walked a mile, carrying him, to find one!

Everybody needs a pink Minnie Mouse macaroon, right?!

Jonah was so heavy, but I loved holding him...he's almost too big for me to be able to do this. So. Sad.

My sweet sleepy boy!

World of Color was incredible!! I will admit that I teared up a couple times. There's just something completely magical about Disney! Our time there never seems to be long enough and I'm always sad when it comes to an end.
