Brian "moved in" to Falls Creek last week, when the kids were still in school. The kids and I missed that whole first set-up week. Then Jonah had baseball camp at the beginning of the following week, so we didn't make it to camp until Thursday of the second week of set-up. It really worked out okay this way though, because there's not much for us to do there before camp starts.
I love our first arrival of the summer at Falls Creek the best of all, because everyone is excited and happy to be there! Not that they aren't happy later on in the summer, but you know...it wears off a little as the summer goes on. =0) We were only there for one night before going back to Newcastle for the Garrett Reunion over the weekend. We unpacked and got our room situated (yes, I still bring decorations and lots of things from home!) and enjoyed exploring camp in the golf cart. As if we haven't seen it all a thousand times before! =0) Looking forward to a great summer at camp!
Even Jack has a lanyard this year! Aww!!
The goal of the summer is to make sure Jack doesn't fall off the golf cart!
Best time of my life, right here...
I wonder how many games of Phase10 we will play this summer...
It always feels good to get everything settled and ready to go! And it will never be this clean again, so it is photo-worthy!
I'm excited about this...I bought this bathroom stuff on marketplace so we can have a cute bathroom this summer. It actually sort of makes the awful color on the walls not look quite so bad.
Another thing I love about set-up weeks...the weather! Look--I'm wearing a sweatshirt!
Another goal is to teach Mackenzie how to drive (a car) this summer, with this golf cart! hahaha!
My heart!
Jack had the time of his life splashing in this water!
Yeah...it's going to be a long summer of chasing Jack!
Exploring in the old prayer garden.
Jack LOVES his Bubba!
Another nap...his hand...hahaha...
The kids' room, nice and clean...it will never look like this again after the first day!
Jack loved splashing in this dirty water!
