Last Night in Yellowstone

We spent the evening around the campfire again, and had good old hot dogs...AGAIN!! There's only so much you can cook around a campfire. This was our last night in Yellowstone, before we packed up and headed up to Glacier.
I am so in love with him! Seriously...I can't even handle it! He went out looking for some wood with his Daddy and came back with a pocket full of pretty flowers for me! Ughhhh!!! Please don't ever grow up!
We worked on our Junior Park Ranger books. The kids had to complete a certain number of pages, depending on their age, to be able to get their badge.
I still had my Diet Coke, so I was doing okay!
YUM!
We were missing civilization a little at this point, so we watched a movie on the laptop before bed!
Rise & Shine, Sleepy-heads!

Jr. Ranger, Stuffed Animal Girl & Pretty Pre-Teen

I can't even handle the cuteness! Here are some of the kids' souvenirs from our trip...and these pictures of them are my souvenirs!! I will treasure these pictures and the memories from this trip forever and ever!

Jonah just HAD to have this Junior Ranger vest & hat...especially when we found a badge with his name on it!! It was way too expensive, but we decided he could wear this for Halloween to kind of justify the cost a little bit.

Madison's souvenirs were all stuffed animals, of course! Meet Dark Chocolate, Hot Chocolate & Milk Chocolate!

And Mackenzie wanted this cute shirt...a sure sign she's growing up!

Grand Teton National Park

On Thursday, we drove to see the Grand Tetons, which was about an hour to the south of our campsite. I was not feeling well at all, so this wasn't the best day for me, and we didn't get to explore as much as I know Brian was wanting to. It was very cloudy and overcast, but we could still see the Tetons in the background. Brian and the kids walked down to Jenny Lake while I laid in the van...they brought me a bunch of pretty flowers to make me feel better! We finished the day with (another) trip to the Gift Shop...Brian's favorite part of our trips! Or not!! Haha!
I laugh every time I see this picture...Jonah's super hero got to visit the Grand Tetons too! LOL!
How in the world was I supposed to not buy this for him?! The Junior Ranger outfit, not the giant bear!

Camping Night #2

After a long adventure-filled day, we were all tired and ready to relax! We made Mac-n-cheese & quesadillas for the kids and baked potatoes in the fire for us! I have to say I was impressed with our camp cooking skills! We slept pretty good again...I was kind of amazed at how warm I stayed, considering how cold it was outside. The next morning, we loaded up and went to the showers down the street to get cleaned up, before another day of adventuring. Still no run-ins with bears, but we had our bear spray ready to go, just in case!
It was so fun to listen to them in there playing together!
So. Good.
Morning #2: The best way to wake up!
Our stuffed animal collection grew significantly on this trip!
Look at the bottom of her feet! That's camping for ya, I suppose!
