T-Rex Cafe

We decided it would be fun to do something "boyish" with Jonah since we had this one-on-one time with him! (Actually, Brian just wanted to go to T-Rex! He's a big kid at heart!) When we got to T-Rex, we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves so we walked around taking pictures and looking at the dinosaurs. We had an excellent dinner, but the best part was the "Chocolate Extinction" dessert that we ordered. It was HUGE and had a dry ice volcano in the middle of it. It was so cool! We are easily entertained I guess, but we just had to video it so we could show the girls! We will definitely have to bring them back here sometime soon! After dinner, we took Jonah to do Build-a-Dino. He got a Build-a-Bear gift card for his birthday, so we thought this was the perfect time to use it! Two times we held up different stuffed dinosaurs and let Jonah pick one, and both times he choose this green Brontosaurus. We decided to name him "Casey" since we were in KC! We Facetimed the girls so they could see where we were at and we bought each of them a baby dinosaur and a little nest for it to sleep in. We had such a fun time with Jonah at T-Rex! I know he won't remember it, but hopefully someday he will look back at these pictures and smile!
Jonah wasn't too sure about this whole dinosaur thing...he looks a little worried here!

Here is a picture looking down on the restaurant. So cool! We ate over on the left side, in one of the shell booths by the fish tank.

He liked the fish though!

Jonah looks just like his Daddy did at this age, in this picture.

Big Boy!
The dinosaur hat didn't last long...
It was more fun to play hide-and-seek with it than to wear it!
I love the way he is looking at me in this picture!
This dessert was 4 huge brownies with butterfingers and 4 huge scoops of ice cream. YU-UU-UMMMM!!!
Jonah loved the "smoke!"

Build-a-Dino!
Putting the heart in...
Aw, he loves his new dinosaur!
Jonah REALLY wanted to help!
So he got his own computer!
It is so fun to watch Brian with Jonah...he loves having a son so much!

Quick trip to KC

We took a (very) quick overnight trip to Kansas City for a youth ministry meeting Brian had with Dare2Share. Jonah came along for the ride, and the girls stayed at home with Grandma Baldwin. It was nice to get away with my boys for a few days! When we got to KC, we shopped a little and then spent the evening having an early dinner at T-Rex and relaxing in the room. The next day we went to Dave & Buster's for the lunch meeting. Jonah and I shopped around at the Outlet Mall while Daddy was in the meeting. After that, we loaded up and drove back to Tulsa just in time for the Chick-fil-a fundraiser for Care Xplosion and Mackenzie's first basketball practice.
Ready to go...
Our little stow-away!
The weather was not ideal...it was cold and rainy.
Jonah was nice and cozy in this little pack-n-play crib with his new dinosaur!

1st Grade Choir

The 1st grade choir sang "Footprints of Jesus" and "Step by Step" at church this morning. I don't know what I was thinking, but I left home without my camera. Thank goodness for cell phones, and friends (Connie Easterwood) who have my back! What a sweet group of friends that Mackenzie gets to grow up with. I'm so thankful for all of the Godly families represented on this stage.
Lord, may the words of these songs be etched onto the hearts of these children! May they follow You all of their days!
Footprints of Jesus,
That make the pathway glow;
We will follow the steps of Jesus
Where’er they go.
Oh God You are my God
And I will ever praise You

I will seek you in the morning
And I will learn to walk in your ways
And step by step you’ll lead me
And I will follow you all of my days

I will follow You all of my days
I will follow You all of my days
And step by step You’ll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days

The youth choir also sang. We are so blessed to work with this wonderful group of teenagers! One of these days, far too soon, this group of 1st graders will be this youth choir.
Kinley & Mackenzie
These two are quite the pair! They love each other like best friends and fight like sisters!
