Silver Dollar City

We spent all day Wednesday and then part of the day on Friday at Silver Dollar City, since we had season passes. A fun surprise for Madison was running into her friend, Annie when we got there Wednesday morning. The girls loved the rides, but Jonah was terrified of them. He thought he might like the puppy dog ride, but once it started moving he screamed the entire time. So, he and I were the "sit and wait while Daddy and the girls ride" team! The weather was beautiful and all of the Fall decorations were so pretty. As always, I had to have some succotash at SDC. It would be a tragedy to visit and miss out on it. On our way out, Mackenzie found the coolest stick bug for her insect collection that she's working on. I made Brian figure out how to get it in my empty Gatorade bottle!
Silver Dollar City is nothing like being at Disney World, but it is still a very fun place to visit. Maybe we will come back at Christmas time!

Riding Thunderation...I was very proud of Mackenzie for doing this even though she was nervous...and she had to ride by herself.
Not moving yet, so still happy...
uh-oh!
The girls liked it, at least!
He was much happier hanging out with Momma!
These pictures of me are deceiving...they don't portray how sick I felt at all. I'm glad I could pull it together and put on a happy face for my kids. They didn't have any idea that I was sick and pregnant at this point.
We let them pick a souvenir and they wanted to get stuffed animals...go figure! At least Mackenzie's bear says "SDC" on the foot. Jonah got a puppy dog that we named "Lucky." Very fitting for him after the traumatic puppy dog ride earlier in the day!
 SDC Day Two:
One of the many reasons I love him...he's fun!
Taking selfies to pass the time...
Just watching them ride these swings was almost too much for me!
And this I couldn't watch at all...ick!
I don't know what was going on with Jonah...he didn't even like the butterfly/caterpillar ride, which he has loved in the past.
They loved feeding French fries to the birds.
