The girls had their PreSMAK program on Wednesday evening. I had such a fun time working in PreSMAK with Madison this year. And I can't even believe that this is Mack's last year to do PreSMAK! Grandma & Grandpa Baldwin and Aunt Amy and the kids came to watch the girls sing. Each age group sang a couple of songs. Madison was so funny...during the first song that her group sang, she stood perfectly still and didn't sing a word. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I later figured out from her that she didn't think she was supposed to sing that song because her teacher, Ms. Krista wasn't the one leading. =0)
One of the song's Mackenzie's group sang was the PJ Party. We had a little life lesson on the way to the church before the program...Mackenzie was upset that she wasn't getting to say a verse or pray into the microphone, like a few of her friends were. This was a great chance to talk about not being jealous and not coveting what others have or get to do, but to be thankful for the circumstances and opportunities we have in life. I love the children's music ministry in our church! I think it is one of the best ways to teach our kids about the love of Jesus...through music and fun!
Mackenzie was determined to wear these skin tight jeans and wedge shoes...I didn't think it was a battle worth fighting, so I just let her do it. My, oh my, what will she be like as a teenager?! A fashionista, I'm sure!
Pure Sugar!
More posing...
First the 3 year old's sang, then the 4's, and lastly the 5's. Here is Madison during the first song, which is the one she learned in the room I was helping in. She knew every word and motion, but she just didn't think she was supposed to do it because Ms. Krista wasn't leading. Her expression is so serious!
The "Who, What, Why, When and Where" song
She was concentrating very hard!
Here is Mackenzie's group. She is on the second row on the far right.
