Falls Creek 2012

Falls Creek this year was a lot of fun, but exhausting for me. The girls and I went on Monday and stayed until Wednesday night. Then we headed back to G-Ma's house to do VBS for the rest of the week. Falls Creek is great...we took 137 people this year and there were many decisions made. It was a bit of a stressful week for Brian, due to some medical issues with one of our teenagers. Thankfully, everything was okay. The girls love Falls Creek...they got to play with Courtnee & Hallee, stay up really late, watch movies and color, have their hair fixed & their nails painted by teenagers, and dress up in fun costumes at night. Yep, pretty fun! They have both been to Falls Creek every year of their little lives. That's just part of being the youth minister's kids I guess. I hope it's still exciting for them when they get to be teenagers. We stayed in the cabin for the most part, but we did venture out to the tabernacle in the evenings. I was very impressed with myself that at 7 months pregnant, I was able to make it up and down those hills (just barely, and only once!) The rest of the time we rode in a golf cart. The girls and I stayed in the service for the music, and then went out into the entry area to color. It's just so hard for them to sit still and quiet for that long, and I didn't want to be a distraction for anyone. We are so blessed to serve at STBC. We are truly surrounded by people that we love and that are "family" to us. One highlight of the week was "Twin Night." Kari and I came up with the idea to be twins...she wore a pregnant tummy and I wore a wig! It was a little out of my comfort zone, but it was funny and a very good memory. Hopefully next year we'll get to stay for the whole week. Being pregnant at Falls Creek this year makes me think back to our very first year of going to FC with Trinity in Idabel. I was about 5 months pregnant with Mackenzie at the time, and that was before the new tabernacle was finished and we had services outside in the amphitheater...it was so HOT! Definitely thankful for the airconditioning this year!
Daddy is so good to spend time with the girls and help me out, even though he is extremely busy at Falls Creek. I love this picture of him with his girls!
The first night was "Would you still be my friend if I wore this?" night...(crazy night) We also had Super Hero night and Twin night.
Here is the silly group picture...Brian kinda caught me off guard by rubbing my stomach, so I just stood there and kind of shrugged...whatever! =0)
Are they cute, or what?!
Heather McCullough & Lauren Nolan liked playing with the girls!
Abby was the hair fixer!
Sweet...
and Sassy...
Check out this attitude! She loved having the tips of her hair painted pink.
Getting her hair done, night #2! She looks ways too grown up...
I love this sweet lady so much! Who knew we would become such good friends. God has certainly had his hand upon Kari, and used her in great ways. She's always good for a laugh too!
See what I mean?! (When she got this pillow stuffed under her shirt, I said, "Please tell me I don't look that big!")
