We had a fun day at Universal, wrapping up Nationals. Well--it was fun until the last hour or so of the night, when Madi passed out twice and whipped her head around on the Rip Ride Rock It roller coaster. She didn't even say a word about it while she was on the ride with Nikki, but after they got off, she started to feel really weird. I had taken her and Aven into this Despicable Me walk thru ride and I guess she nearly passed out again in there. She couldn't remember half of the ride or how she got off of the ride, and when she saw one of the girls in the bathroom, she couldn't remember her name. I think that really scared her, and sent her into a panic attack. So we made our way back to the hotel as quickly as possible with her, in an Uber. Once we got her settled down and comfortable in bed, she started to feel a little better. We think she may have gotten a minor concussion when her head jerked back against the seat, and I also think she had a panic attack. Not really sure. Sheer exhaustion didn't help anything either. Her friends packed up all of her things for her, and she slept in our room. Sooo...the night ended with a little stress, but thankfully it wasn't anything major and Madi was okay.
About Universal--I like it--but I really, really hope we do a Disney park next year. The girls originally wanted to stay a few more days, but we just couldn't pull it off this year. I was actually really glad we weren't planning on doing that, because after Madi's ordeal, we were very ready to just be home.
As always, Hagrid's is the BEST ride! It also scares me to absolute death!
I'm glad these friends will still be cheer mom'ing with me next year!
How cute are these pictures...they look like they should be used on a Starbucks advertisement! This was right before she really started feeling awful.

This is where it all went down-hill...all of the flashing neon lights, after passing out on that roller coaster, made her very dizzy and light-headed and disoriented. Poor girl! I wish we never would have gotten on this ride.
