Off to a Great Start

Jack is off to a great start in PreK! Here are some pictures from the first few weeks of school. I love it that Mrs. Gentry sends pictures of what the kids are doing throughout the day! Jack talks a lot about Kayson and Chase. I'm glad he is making friends!
Ready for day two...
I have had so many different friends send me pictures of the boys walking into school together in the mornings! It is pretty cute! =0) Jonah is THE BEST big bro!
I'll take this after school greeting any day!! Jack is always very happy to see me at pick up!
After-school cuddles!
A 6:30 AM wake-up on a Monday morning is just brutal...
From Mrs. Gentry:

We did a lot of brain breaks to keep our learning going and to strengthen our attentiveness, coordination and motor skills.
First try at centers and a quick glimpse of our recess.
Music class with Mrs. Clay...
Learning about procedures, ABC room rules, and playing nicely with each other.
Lunch time!
Fine motor practice using play dough in the afternoon.
Introduction to proper use of our fine motor journals.
Hungry kids lining up for lunch.
For Math, we did a color sorting and counting activity. For centers, we got to be with our center groups.
We started memorizing the Pledge of Allegiance and made our own flags from scratch.
For Phonics, we did our first listening activity, letter search using our detective eyes and getting ourselves familiar with our letter cards.
For fine motor, we started our AlphabetAnimal project, did our left to right drawing in our fine motor journal and we got to cut play dough.

We played a sorting and counting activity for Math.
We practiced our procedures for Music class and talked about God's expectations for us in Bible.
Here are some of our pictures during recess and when we did a nature walk as we talked about learning more about God's creation using our senses.
Here are some of our rhythmic movement activities and positional words review.
