SMAK is literally one of Mackenzie's favorite weeks of the entire year, and I am so sad that this is her last year to do it! Since we moved to OKC, it has become even more special to us, because its a week we get to spend with the Easterwoods. Mackenzie tried out for a speaking part or movement part, and when she found out she got a solo instead, she was NOT happy. Once she got past the disappointment of that, she still had a fun week. Madison tried out for a solo too, and I am SO proud of her for this! After the awful experience she had in the program last year, with another girl singing in the wrong place and messing her whole solo up, I was just so happy that she wanted to try again.
In the afternoons, they went bowling at Andy B's, to the Planetarium, watched a movie at the church, went to BounceU & on Friday they performed at a retirement center.
Her 1st year of SMAK as a 1st grader...look how little she was! Ugh! Time is a thief!
