Mackenzie & Madison were natural little ski bunnies! We decided not to do ski lessons, and just try teaching them ourselves, which ended up being the right decision. Especially since Madison didn't feel well and we didn't ski for very long at a time. We went on the bunny slopes at first and then on the second day, we took the big lift up and went down a green. That was probably NOT the best decision! Brian had Madison on a leash/harness thing and one time he fell and took her down with him. It was not good! I know that Madison would have liked skiing more if she would have felt better. Then, Mackenzie went flying down the mountain and I had to tackle her so she wouldn't hurt herself. Mackenzie really surprised me by how well she picked it up & how brave she was. It was an adventure for sure! I'm not sure either of the girls just LOVED skiing and there were plenty of tears and "I don't want to's", but I think they will want to go again in a year or two! I didn't take a single picture with my camera, but we got a lot of good ones with Brian's phone. And, Jacob & Abby Bradford were so kind to ski with us the second day and take pictures and videos of the girls skiing! On the 2nd afternoon, we left the girls in the room with Chris Fransisco, and Brian and I got to go skiing on our own. That was fun, but I also realized that I'm not as young as I once was!
Getting bundled up and ready to go took a long time! Thankfully they had these wagons that we could pull right up to our room! The girls never would've made it walking around in those boots.
How cute are their little skis?!
First timers!
Skiing Day ONE:
I love her little scream! She did great though...she stayed the course and managed to keep control!
I mean, really...it gets no cuter than this on the ski slopes!
I think Brian's FB post with this picture said:
"Extreme snow boarder to pack mule..." =0) This was definitely a different kind of trip for him!
We at least got to go up the big lift once!
Yeah, we're a lot older than the last time we have a picture like this!
We all made it on and off without falling!
Looking at this picture, I can't believe no one fell getting off! LOL!
She's a natural!
In the end, they were both all smiles and thumbs up! Maybe they were just glad to be done?
Madi was a little trooper...I hated it so bad that she was sick.
