Finally, after an entire week of pre-celebrating, Madi is a teenager! Her birthday fell on Saturday, which was the day we headed to Falls Creek for the rescheduled YEC. We began the morning with our tradition of singing Happy Birthday (for the second time, minus Mackenzie), then we picked Mack up downtown from Abby's party, and then we met GMa and Poppa & Louise at Cracker Barrel on our way through Norman. We got Madi a new fish tank and supplies to get a beta fish, which she was very excited about! After setting up for YEC, we went to Chili's with the youth ministry team for dinner and wrapped up Madi's birthday celebrations with a cookie cake. The best thing happened on our way back to camp though...a whole herd of wild pigs ran across the road right in front of the van...Madi LOVES pigs, you know?! We aren't sure how many there were, but we decided there must have been THIRTEEN of them! =0) That was a fun little birthday present to end her day!
Now this Momma is alllllll celebrated out and glad I have a few months before our next birthday party!
Yep, definitely a teenager!
