Family Zoo Day

On Thursday of Fall Break, we went to the OKC Zoo. This was Jack's first trip to the zoo & we had the best time! The kids got to ride a camel, feed the giraffes, ride the carousel, have a picnic lunch *complete with Zebra cakes, and see lots of animals. We sat Jack in some hay and took cute pics...which was all great, until he broke out in a rash. His perfectly soft, fresh skin didn't like that scratchy old hay! Thankfully it went away quickly and wasn't a big deal. We ended the day with a trip to the gift shop OF COURSE...and Jack got his first souvenir, a giraffe stuffed animal, which he loves!
This pic above is my new favorite! How I love them!
Madi insisted I take a picture of the baby deer!
Jonah was serious about animal watching...he brought his binoculars from home!
I literally remember standing in this exact spot with baby Mackenzie when she was about 6 months old and we took her to the zoo for the first time. How in the world is it possible that was 14 years ago?? Wow...time really does fly when you're having fun I guess.
Momma's gotta do what a Momma's gotta do... =0)
We have a new birdie to measure!
Looking at animals just wore Jack out!
Yee-haw!!
This is when I realized Jack had a rash...panic moment...but then we realized that it was probably from the hay, and I settled down. It went away fairly quickly, thank goodness!
Even Daddy got a "souvenir" from Starbucks!
See?? He HAD to have this giraffe! So. Cute.
