Happy Valentine's Day

Poor Jonah had a stomach bug and had to stay home from school on Valentine's Day. It's just no fun at all, to have to miss party days at school. Thankfully, it didn't last long, and Momma was the only other one to catch it...ugh! I'm not real sure how that happened, because Daddy is the one who took care of him. I'm really glad Brian and the girls managed to stay well! 

I went to the school for Madison's Valentine's party towards the end of the day. Mackenzie went home from school with her friend Abigail, and they went to Daelyn's Clue-themed Valentine's Day party that evening. Mackenzie was so excited about this, and it sounds like they had the best time! 

I didn't do the best job on Valentine's presents this year, but I managed to put something together at the last minute and I think they were all happy with what they got! 

This was definitely not a "romantic" Valentine's Day, by any means...we just aren't in that season of life right now...and that's okay, I suppose. I think we all felt loved and happy anyway! 

I was glad he woke up smiling after a rough day before...

I thought it would be fun to surprise the fam with one of Connie's cute Valentines cakes...I'm pretty sure I ended up eating most of it! Haha! Happy Valentine's Day to me! 

This was Madison's Valentine's bucket...we didn't get very fancy this year, but it still turned out super cute!

And talk about completely lame...I totally dropped the ball on Jonah's Valentine's "bag" for school...as it turned out, he didn't have a clue, because he was sick and missed his party. Next year I'm going to have to really do something awesome to make up for the lameness this year! 

I picked his bucket up from Mrs. Crabb at the end of the day and brought his goodies to him.
