Mackenzie did perler beads (aka curler beads at our house) for her semester project at school. I love it that the kids get to choose anything they would like to for their project. This was the easiest one we have done yet, because most of these were already done. Brian and I kind of have a love/hate thing with perler beads...they are wonderful because the girls enjoy playing with them and they capture their attention for hours on end...we hate them because we are constantly finding them all over our house and they make such a mess when they are out.
Mackenzie's display was very bright and colorful, and told all about how to make perler bead creations! She was determined to take our iron so she could demonstrate exactly how to melt them together when she presented her project to her classmates. I texted Mrs. Martin and asked which day Mackenzie would be presenting, and told her we didn't want to send the iron and have wrinkly clothes all week!
