Mackenzie got to take her first Lord's Supper at the Thanksgiving dinner/service. She was SO excited! What a beautiful thing, to experience the Lord's Supper through the eyes of a child the first time.
Jesus, thank you so much for dying on the cross so we can have forgiveness for our sins. We are so unworthy, yet so thankful!
I don't think it was exactly like she thought it would be...when she ate the "bread" she said, "It tastes like plastic!" (It was pretty bad!) I loved it because it gave me a chance to whisper to her about how it didn't "taste" good when Jesus suffered and died for us...but we do this to remember and thank Him for the sacrifice and gift that He gave!
Sweet Madi did not understand at all why she couldn't participate. Thankfully they had childcare, which helped so much! It won't be long and she will be taking her first Lord's supper! Mackenzie is standing right under her picture on the New Members board. She gets so excited every time we walk by it!
