I had another checkup today, at 16 weeks, and the baby looked good...heart rate was 142! I also decided to go ahead and get a flu shot at my appt today. I've been hesitant and scared to do it, because when I had the miscarriage last time I had just gotten a flu shot a few days before. I am sure it was completely unrelated, but in my mind, there is a connection there. My doctor reassured me that it would be best for me to get the flu shot, so I followed her advice & am just continuing to trust that God has this! I am finally starting to feel a little bit better, thank goodness! The nausea still comes and goes, but it isn't as persistent. I've already gained way too much weight...like 20 lbs already...eek...because the only thing that made me feel better during the entire first trimester was EATING! Oh well, I will work hard and lose it later!
Something that has been bothering me is that I've been having all kinds of weird heart palpitations. I went to my primary care doctor and she did an EKG and it was very irregular, so she recommended that I see a cardiologist. It bothers me most when I lay down in bed at night, but I can feel it happening all throughout the day. I don't think its a dangerous thing, but anything with your heart is scary, so I will really be glad when I can get into the cardiologist in a few weeks to have it checked out.
OH!! Almost forgot to include this & it is important! WE HAVE BABY NAMES!! I am so happy that this baby has a name now! Not knowing the gender makes picking a name twice as much work, because you have to come up with a boy name and a girl name. We are keeping it a secret until baby gets here, so that's all I'm going to type for now, in case anyone reads this before the baby is born! =0)
This made me laugh! I'm not sure Brian remembers exactly what life with a newborn is like!
Here are some names I've typed out that I like on my phone...the names we ended up picking aren't even listed on this first one...ha!
