Since it rained all day Friday, we waited until Saturday to go back to Silver Dollar City. Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin packed up the trailer and were going to meet us there, but decided at the last minute to head back to the lake instead. We missed them being there with us, but it was nice to have time with just our little family too! We started our day with cinnamon rolls & other yummy treats from the bakery just inside SDC. The chocolate chip cookie I got was as big as my head!
We rode lots of rides and got to watch a couple of Christmas shows...It's a Wonderful Life and A Dickens Christmas Carol. And of course we ate succotash...a definite must-have at Silver Dollar City! I absolutely love coming to SDC, especially at Christmas time! This was a fun way to kick off Christmas this year!
We spent the entire day at Silver Dollar City and even ended up staying until dark, so we got to enjoy the lights again on our way out. The not so fun part of our day was having to drive back to the lake that night. It took about 3 1/2 hours and felt like FOREVER, because we were so tired! All the fun we had earlier in the day made it worth it though.

My kind of breakfast!
I made Jonah ride the big swings with me. He wasn't sure about it at first, but then realized it wasn't so bad! I was proud of him!
Daddy sat this one out!
About to watch It's a Wonderful Life! The last time we were here watching this, Jonah was a little bitty baby.
Show #2 A Dickens Christmas Carol
Each of the kids got to play one game, and these are the prizes they ended up with! You can imagine Madison's disappointment when Jonah played the same game she played, and won a bigger prize than she won! We had to have a good talk about being happy for one another, even when we are disappointed for ourselves. =0)
Somehow, the girls got me on the big pirate ship! It was scarier than I thought it would be, but very fun! I couldn't stop laughing!
