The girls had their first basketball games today & we were very proud of them! Its been a few years since Madison has played basketball, and she's a little timid. I bet by the end of the season, she learns to be a lot more aggressive! Brian told her he would give her $1 for every time she shot the ball today, but she never really got her hands on the ball and was disappointed about that. There's always next week though! I'm just so happy that she is on a team of sweet girls from school and she is building friendships!
After Madison's game, we had just enough time to run to Academy and buy Mack some basketball shoes and shorts before her game. Mackenzie is playing on a team of mostly 5th graders, because only 2 6th graders signed up to play. The girls seem very sweet & her coaches are great! Mackenzie did so well during her game...she shot the ball 3 times, made some great passes, and played good defense. She earned $5, much to Madison's disappointment! Haha! Last year, basketball was very difficult for us...we are hoping to have a much better experience this time.
This was a fun Saturday! After the games, we met Jamie & Taylor & Thomas at Jason's Deli for lunch and then we got to go home and have a family movie night!
