Both of the girls had parties on the Thursday before Easter. Thankfully the timing worked out so that I could make an appearance at both places. I was able to stop by the church and see the beginning of Madi's egg hunt and drop Jonah off with Brian, and then hurry over to Regent for Mack's party. (Did I mention that I was also doing like 30 dozen cookies this weekend?! It was CRAZY, but I wasn't about to miss out on things with my kids.)
I always love the ELP egg hunt. Ms. Nancy would hold up a colored piece of paper and then all of the kids would take off to find one egg of that color, and then come back to sit down. That way all of the kids get exactly the same amount. I don't think Madison felt great, but she still seemed to have fun hunting eggs.
I made cross cookies for Mack's party at Regent and took some fruit also. They played an Easter BINGO game and Mrs. Holden read a story. I'm so glad that they put such an emphasis on the fact that Easter really isn't about bunnies and eggs, but about the death and resurrection of our Lord!
Mackenzie is definitely in that silly stage.
Brian stayed to watch the rest of Madison's egg hunt and took a few more pictures once I left. He knows how to make me happy!
