We had a work day at the Ministry Center on MLK day with the teenagers, since everyone was out of school. The kids and I weren't there the whole time, but we went to help out for a few hours. The girls thought it was such fun to sort the clothes. Mackenzie said it was like a big garage sale! Jonah was passed around among the teenagers, we ate pizza and then headed back home. This was a fun day for our girls, but it also taught them:
1. God wants us to serve him and others.
2. There are people who don't have clothes, food, and toys like we do, so we should be thankful every day.
I think these are life lessons that we should instill in our children at this young age. It's never too early to teach them the ways of the Lord!
We found this little tricycle and Jonah loved being pushed around on it.
They loved getting to write their names on the wall at the end of the day, to show that they had come to help!
Brian thought he was taking a picture, but he was video'ing instead. Probably silly to keep video's like this, but I just think it's cute!
"Hard work" + Full Tummy =
Naptime!
