All Aboard!

We got to go on the Branson Scenic Railway train ride! It was the first time for all four of us to ride on a train like that. (Daddy was the most excited about it...it must be a boy thing!) I have to say though, that it was really a lot of fun! I didn't realize there was so much room to move around on a train like that! The trip lasted 1 hr and 45 minutes! The highlight was when we walked up to the sky dome just in time to go through the tunnel. It did scare both of the girls...Madison started crying LOUDLY! Mackenzie made some new friends, Katelyn who was 10 and Cheyenne who was 13. They let her color in their notebook, and they were very impressed with her drawing skills at 3 years old! She was, of course, very sad when we had to say goodbye to them. She told them she would put their picture in a frame so she could remember them! She has such a sweet little heart!

I couldn't help but think about the fact that Grandma Jean and Mom rode on this same train on the Ladies' Trip several years ago. I bet Grandma Jean loved it! She would have loved hearing about our train ride too. I miss her so much. The other day we watched home videos from when the girls were born. It made me cry to watch Grandma holding Mackenzie for the first time. Mackenzie was sitting on my lap and I told her, "Grandma Jean loved you very much." She said to me, "I wish I could see her." I said, "Oh, I wish we could see her too...but someday we will get to see her in heaven." I am so glad we have that to look forward to! What a great day that will be! I don't really know how I got off on that, but that is the great thing about blogging...you just type whatever is in your heart I guess!

I am so glad we did this train ride. It is something I will remember forever! I love spending time with my sweet family!

We entertained Madison with Cheetos, Fruit Snacks, bottled water, Capri Suns, candy, more Cheetos...she pretty much ate the entire time!

We had a very nice Conductor, named Ralph! He came and punched an "M" on the girls' train tickets, just like in Polar Express! This was one of my favorite parts of the trip!

We walked up there just in time to go through the tunnel! It was very neat! Madison was getting sleepy...playing with her hair and sucking!

After we made it through the tunnel, we found an empty car where we could just let the girls play and not worry about them being loud. We were being goofy and making scared faces when we went back through the tunnel. After looking at this picture of myself, I think I need to have my teeth whitened...seriously! And I never need to make this face again! Ha,ha!

I was very proud of Mackenzie for not crying when we had to say goodbye to her new friends. She is usually very emotional about that. They were great entertainment for the last 30 minutes of our trip! They were very sweet...they even gave the girls a little stuffed animal named Pinky!
