We were watching It's a Wonderful Life a few days ago, and Brian said "I feel like George Bailey, when his family and friends show up for him at the end of the movie." Wow...yes...such an accurate depiction of our life in this season. God has sent so many amazing people to love, encourage, and provide for our family, in the midst of what feels like tragedy. Over and over again, He has shown us love and provision through people. One of these instances happened when a friend (that I haven't seen in years) handed me an envelope with $500 in it, when she came to pick up a cookie order (that she had already pd for). All she said was "we know how it feels to go through a season like this." Speechless. Grateful. Overwhelmed.
Do I wish things were different, and we hadn't experienced this job loss? Yes. But I wouldn't change it, because of things like this. God hasn't left us. We are not alone. He will provide. And He has given us this most amazing, True Friends.
